Attendees will develop a deeper understanding of how AI functions\, learn about the capabilities of modern AI language models (LLMs)\, and cut through the hype to understand their limitations. \nThe session will demonstrate how AI can be leveraged as a powerful tool to augment the UX design process—from research and analysis to prototyping and optimization. Ultimately\, participants will leave with actionable steps to integrate AI into their workflows\, a deeper understanding of responsible AI-UX design\, and valuable resources for continuous learning. The goal is to spark curiosity and build confidence that anyone can open the “black box” of AI to understand more about this transformative technology. \nMeet the Speaker: Carl Miller\nCarl Miller is a UX professional known for his analytical yet creative approach to design. He has extensively explored Artificial Intelligence\, progressing from understanding foundational model concepts to implementing real-world AI applications in startup environments to augment the design process. In Carl’s UX career\, he has worked with several companies throughout the Twin Cities area and Bay Area startups\, while also serving as a UX Mentor for five years. His passion and interest in AI began with the release of Cleverbot in 2008\, marking the start of a long journey into understanding and applying artificial intelligence in design. \n  \n  \nUX in the Black Mirror: An Apocalyptic Future for UX Designers and Researchers (The Musical)\nAs AI begins to outperform humans in design speed\, personalization\, and optimization\, what becomes of the UX professional? This session explores a near-future where algorithms shape user experiences better — and cheaper — than we can\, challenging the very foundations of human-centered design. Equal parts forecast\, critique\, and creative call-to-action. \nMeet the Speaker: Jeff Rabkin\nJeff Rabkin is a creative strategist\, innovation consultant\, and advocate for harnessing the transformative power of Artificial Intelligence.
