UX & Product Designers Survival Guide, Navigating a Tricky Profession

Great design isn’t just about polish—it’s about understanding the people using what we build. In this talk, Cajetan Baptista shares insights from his book “Product Designer’s Survival Guide:Volume 1- User Behaviors”, a practical look at the patterns and motivations that shape user decisions.
You’ll hear real-world stories from over two decades in User Experience Design —spanning startups to enterprise—and learn why some designs resonate while others fall flat. Cajetan will also dive into how to move forward when research isn’t an option, and how to bring stakeholders along when they’re skeptical, distracted, or just plain resistant. Whether you’re a new designer or a seasoned pro, this session will help you get the job done, even when conditions aren’t optimal.
