Join us Thursday, June 13th, as Natalie Doud takes us through her journey of creating her mobile app Wander. Winner of the 2011 University of Minnesota Mobile App Challenge, Natalie will discuss what it takes to go from an initial idea to a final product. She will share unexpected insights and amusing anecdotes from her experience working on Wander, an app that will allow users to "Find hidden gems with a goal-based adventure tailored to you."


Natalie's presentation will focus on the design iterations and user testing that Wander has gone through and the lessons learned along the way.

About the Speaker
Natalie Doud is the founder of Synaptic Design, a human-centered design and engineering firm. Her company focuses on translational research, interactive design, and branding. Natalie’s iPhone application Wander is the winner of the University of Minnesota’s 2011 Mobile Application Challenge. Wander finds a city’s hidden gems by creating a goal-based adventure tailored to a user’s interests and preferences. Natalie consults on user experience and interactive design and has worked with large and small companies including Target, Thrivent Financial, and Worrell Inc. Natalie and her team lead creativity workshops for agencies and corporations. These workshops improve team cohesion by creating a low-stakes environment to practice collaboration and ideation.
