Diversity, Equity and Inclusion — commonly referred to as DEI — has taken center stage in the workplace. Employers must actively work to create meaningful change, because DEI is vital to creating and maintaining a successful workplace; one founded on the principle that all people can thrive personally and professionally. In the UX Design industry, especially in Minnesota, diversity of the workforce has not reflected the diverse audience we are serving.
We are excited to introduce our Speaker, Joelle Allen - a leader in DEI practice in the Twin Cities area. For 17 years, she has run and operated a full service diversity training and coaching company. With her expertise in Diversity coaching and training, mixed with extensive experience finding and placing candidates, she helps major corporations in the Twin Cities find and retain the best diverse talent.
Joelle will speak to us about better hiring practice, policies and changing culture in the Design world. More over, she will help us to address the important question: “What can I do today, as a designer, to help create a more diverse industry and a more inclusive work environment?”
Please join us on May 13th 2021 for this engaging and important topic.
Thanks for attending!
We will send out a recording of this event to all registrants within 48 hours.
