Join us as local author and UX pioneer Karl Fast presents on an approach to navigation on mobile devices where navigation is revealed contextually through scrolling. Navigation on mobile is difficult. The constraints are severe. As a result, mobile navigation is an impoverished version of the desktop experience. We present an alternative navigation pattern for mobile where navigation is revealed incrementally, and contextually, through scrolling. The approach draws from emerging navigation techniques and combines them with ideas from information visualization, such as the bifocal display and magic lenses. The result is a mobile-centric navigation pattern we call scroll-first. Thank you to our March sponsors, Valere!
